Our 2024 edition of “Scramble for Scholarships” has been another success! Many Thanks to all of all of our event sponsors and donors as our success is totally dependent on your support. Scholarships will be awarded to East Lansing High School students in May of 2025.

2024 SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
The Rotary Club of East Lansing through its East Lansing Rotary Foundation awarded College Scholarships to six outstanding seniors at their East Lansing High School Convocation on Friday, May 24th . Scholarships Were Awarded To:
Tianna Tran who will be attending Michigan State University with a planned major in Business.
Christian Trunk who will be attending Aquinas College with a planned major in Graphic Design.
Khaled Taifour who will be attending the University of Michigan with a planned major in Biomedical Engineering.
Rosemary Buhl who will be attending Michigan State University with a planned major in Civil Engineering.
Maxwell Luther who will be attending Otterbein University with a planned major in Computer Science.
Myah Valla who will be attending Ohio University with a planned major in Health & Physical Education.
The East Lansing Rotary Foundation is partnering with member Ody Norkin (photo, far left) to provide medical supplies for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. So far Ody has delivered ambulances and medical-surgical supplies to hospitals in Dnipro City that are treating both war and civilian victims of bomb shelling across the country.
The donations to this fund will be used exclusively to purchase badly needed medical equipment for surgeons who are currently using an outdated 1975 X-ray machine for amputations and surgeries to remove shrapnel. The updated equipment will save more lives by helping surgeons perform more precise and timely work.
Our goal is to obtain a digital X-ray plate costing $18,000 and a CT Scanner costing $60,000. The equipment will be purchased as soon as sufficient funds are raised.
